The Gonzales Apache Cross Country Team had a successful season, with Alaina Valle and Chris Ramos winning the JV Girls and Varsity Boys district titles, respectively. Head Coach Dana Sestak attributed the team’s performance to setting higher expectations, keeping the team motivated, and fostering a sense of unity. The team also welcomed newcomers to join them in their journey towards excellence. The team’s top runners this year didn’t start as the best in junior high, but they stayed the course and worked hard to excel.
