STAAR Redesign

  • HB 3261, in 2021, required the STAAR to be redesigned from a test that assessed our student's level of proficiency and understanding of the required TEKS.  The newly designed STAAR will be aligned to the classroom experiences of our students.  There will be fewer multiple choice questions and more writing components that will allow students to reflect on the units of study.  For more in-depth  information, click on the blue link to the Region 13 STAAR Redesign website.
