Greetings Gonzales Parents and Community,
It is my pleasure to serve you as principal this year! This is my 22nd year in education. Prior to becoming principal at Gonzales Junior High, I had other leadership experiences including DAEP principal, CTE coordinator, business manager and assistant principal in Texas schools. Even with these amazing experiences, I will always be a teacher at heart. I also have 10 years of classroom teaching experience in Gonzales High School and four years of classroom teaching experience in Waelder ISD. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Houston-Victoria and a Master’s of Education from University of Houston-Victoria. By pursuing lifelong learning, I intend to be an example to students and staff that we should never stop learning.
I am blessed to be the mother of three awesome boys, Derrick, Joshua and Anthony and the wife of Luciano. They are the loves of my life. I have the same expectations for my boys as I do your children, who I love as if they are my own. I want to see them excel and become productive human beings, who have ample opportunity to become whatever they want to be when they grow up.
It is my privilege to lead Gonzales Junior High and the many talented staff and students here! My goal is to continue to provide a supportive climate and culture at Gonzales that is conducive to teaching and learning. By doing so, each individual student and staff can experience growth to their highest potential. I look forward to interacting with all stakeholders in our school community this year!
